表示「上/下方及周圍」的介系詞

1. over 表示「正上方」，沒有接觸

over the rainbow

2. under 表示「正下方」，沒有接觸

under the chair

3. above 表示「在上方」，沒有接觸，表示位置高於

above the window

4. below 表示「在下方」，沒有接觸，表示位置低於

below the chair

5. on表示表面有接觸的「上方」

on the table、on the sofa

6. up表示「向上」的動作

stand up

7. down表示「向下」的動作

sit down

8. by或beside是表示「在旁邊」

by my house、beside the bank

9. near 表示「在~附近」

near the park

10. next to表示「在～隔壁、旁邊」

next to the bakery

11. around 表示「圍繞、到處、在周圍」

around the neighborhood

12. before = in front of表示「在～前面」

Jim is stand­ing before Sam.

=Jim is stand­ing in front of Sam.

13. after = in back of表示「在～後面」

14. outside表示「在～外面」

out­side the school

15. inside表示「在～裡面」

inside the gym
