基礎文法 Be動詞
Be動詞包含了
用於現在式的am, are, is
和用於過去式的was, were
(原形就是be)
其中
老大am只能跟I相處融洽(第一人稱)
example: I am Anna. I am a teacher.
老二are用在第二人稱及兩個以上單位(很愛熱鬧)
example: You are Bill. You are my friend.
They are Lucy and Tracy. They are classmate.
老三is屬於孤僻型的,只跟單數的第三人稱做朋友
example: He is Lanny. He is my neighbor.
The box is red.
而過去式的was則是跟am和is相同用法
were就是在過去式中代替are的位置
example: I was home last night. (我昨晚在家)
They were sick yesterday. (他們昨天生病)
He was a teacher. (他以前是位老師)
注意：句中若出現過去式動詞，講的就是過去的時間，詳細解說會在《過去式》說明！
Be動詞的中文意思都是“是”
要選用哪一個Be動詞則是要看主詞
找出那一句在講的主要人物、事物
再看一下時間
就很容易可以看出要使用的角色
以下我就出幾個題目讓大家試試看!!
1. Where _____ the teacher?
2. The gas tank _____ almost empty.
3. There _____ some birds singing outside the window.
4. My favorite subject in school ______ history.
5. They _____ both doctors when they were young.
6. I _____ at a party last night.

10. Playing basketball _____ my favorite activity on Sundays.

簡單介紹Be動詞問句
也就是以Be動詞開頭的問句
一個含有Be動詞的句子
只要把Be動詞提出來放到最前面就變成問句了
很容易吧!!
example: It is 4:30 p.m. → Is it 4:30 p.m.?
They are classmates. → Are they classmates?
長一點的句子也一樣
example: Tina was taking a shower when her mom called.
→ Was Tina taking a shower when her mom called?

就把上面那十個題目變成Be動詞問句吧!!
否定用法
在否定的時候
只要在Be動詞之後加一個not就可以了
example: I am not a millionaire. (我不是個百萬富翁)
He was not millionaire then. (他那時不是個百萬富翁)
※are not = aren’t
is not = isn’t
was not = wasn’t
were not = weren’t
補充：有一個叫 ain’t 的傢伙,在口語上常常被用來代替 am not, aren’t, 和isn’t, 歌詞中也常常看得到,但要注意的是那不是正確用法,在生活上可以當做非正式用語來使用,可是正式文件或報告則不建議使用之！
好，所以你也可以試著把上面那十個句子改成否定句！(1,8,9題除外)
